Kiawah Island Activities Kiawah Island has it all for a family or
golf vacation...even for
honeymooners!
Beach: Swim in the calm waters of the Atlantic,
body-surf the waves with your boogie-board or simply
stroll Kiawah’s incredible 10-mile long unspoiled beach from one end to the other even at high tide. Watch the seagulls fly
overhead and the pelican dive for their dinner while the dolphin play in the water and the shrimp boats troll in the distance.
Bring your fishing pole and try your luck at surf fishing.
Biking, Hiking and Wildlife Viewing: Kiawah has
over 30 miles of safe, paved paths which meander through woods and past lagoons. These are home to alligators, turtles, deer, egrets,
herons, and a host of other shore birds.

championship courses offered on this private resort island.
Tennis: Kiawah was rated America's #1 Tennis Resort by Tennis Magazine.
Boating and Fishing: Visit Bohicket Marina for boat rentals, deep sea fishing.
Enjoy local canoeing, kayaking, crabbing (see photo below), shrimping, and fishing in the nearby tidals marshes and creeks.
Night Heron Park – This wonderful park offers soccer fields, basketball courts, a Nature Center, Kamp Kiawah for Kids, Cookouts, Ice Cream Socials, horse back riding available at nearby Seabrook Island.

Kids enjoy their afternoons on Kiawah baiting their strings with chicken and waiting for the crabs to come.

Shopping and Dining; With the Freshfields Village
and Sanctuary Hotel, numerous shops and restaurants are easy to find. Be sure to hit the Farmers Market on Tuesdays. Historic Charleston, with world-class dining and shopping, is only 30 minutes away.
