The Treetops at Shipwatch, located just 19 miles from historic downtown Charleston, on Kiawah's West Beach, is just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean (you can hear the surf from your bedroom), and within a short walking distance to the Straw Market, The Cougar Point Golf Course, tennis courts, shopping and restaurants.
This two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront villa offers a light and airy beach feel with all the comforts of a luxury home...granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a full size washer and dryer, original artwork, CD player, wireless high-speed internet and a flat-panel TV/DVD combo in the living room.
The master comes complete with a king-size bed, a private balcony overlooking the treetops, TV/DVD combo and its own private bathroom. The second bedroom offers two queen-size beds, a private balcony, a TV/DVD combo and its own private bathroom. Both bedrooms offer fine Egyptian cotton sheets, down-alternative duvets and down-alternative pillows, all on comfy, pillow-top mattresses.
The Treetops offers limited ocean views from the living room and the large wrap-around balcony off the living room. The villa is located at the end of the hall on the top floor (4th floor), so it is very private.
Getting to the beach couldn't be easier. Just ride the elevator down to the first floor and it opens at the boardwalk to the beach. Right across the parking lot is the Straw Market with shops, a restaurant, a fitness center (daily or weekly fees) and Scoopers Ice Cream. The Sanctuary and East Beach are a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute bike ride from the villa. There are more than 30 miles of paved bike trails that meander all over Kiawah. Bike rentals are $37.50 plus tax each and include a folding beach chair that you may use for the length of your stay.
