Inside Kiawah's Finest: The Best Tour of Homes in the Southeast
Saturday, October 14, 10:00am - 4:00pm

Presented by Luxury Land and Homes, the tour will showcase five private island residences. The tour is self-guided and is open from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Registration will be on the Village Green at Freshfields Village on the day of the tour. Tickets are $35 in advance, and $40 at registration and include post-tour wine and cheese reception. German cheer and beer come to Mingo Point for Oktoberfest! Enjoy the festive music of an authentic oompah band and a menu full of Old World favorites. Some delicious options include the Weinerschnitzel, Bratwurst and Sauerkraut, Pan Roasted River Trout, Spaetzle and some fine German Lagers. The Charleston Symphony Orchestra

Featuring a ghoulish collection of classical and popular music favorites. Free Admission. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside The Sanctuary with seating available on a first come, first serve basis.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets and relax on the Terrace Lawn for a festive Lowcountry celebration filled with a taste of local arts, music and food. Sponsored by the Town of Kiawah Island and Kiawah Island Golf Resort.


World Series
End of October

Join us at Turtle Point Bar & Grill and the Lobby Bar at The Sanctuary as Major League Baseball's champion is crowned. During the World Series this October each establishment will be turned to the action and will offer game night food and beverage.


Masquerade Ball

Don your spookiest dancing duds for this Halloween ball, which will feature a costume contest, live music, and plenty of delicious treats. Dance the night away in the festively decorated Sanctuary lobby and enjoy a full-fledged night of Halloween fun.


Ninth Annual Island House Tour
November 4th, 2006

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League will host its ninth annual island house tour. This year, it will take place on Kiawah Island from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Five magnificent homes will be open to the public. Advance tickets are $40 and available for purchase on September 1st on www.csolinc.org. On the day of the tour, if tickets are available, tickets will be $45 and can be purchased at the entrance to Kiawah Island.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Beginning of December, at The Sanctuary (call 843-768-6000 for date)

Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and cider by the fire as carolers and guests sing favorite holiday tunes to celebrate the oncoming of Christmas with our annual tree lighting ceremony. Be sure to also peruse the lobby and choose your favorite entry from our local chef Gingerbread House competition.

Carolers on the Grand Stairs
Every Sunday evening from 12:00 - 3:00pm in December, at The Sanctuary

Enjoy holiday music filling The Sanctuary as carolers sing favorite tunes.

New Year's Eve "Countdown Celebration 2007"

Night Heron Park

Food served until 9:30 pm. Get together with your family and friends to ring in the New Year with delicious food, lively entertainment and fantastic fireworks. The a la carte dinner menu features Kiawah favorites such as roasted oysters, barbecue chicken and ribs, home-made coleslaw, molasses-baked beans, kettle corn and delicious desserts. In addition to live music from the party band, Twisted Hip, there will be train rides, jump castles and party favors for all. Then, at 10pm, enjoy the fireworks finale at Night Heron Park's soccer field. This event is sponsored by the Town of Kiawah Island and Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
